Lonely Planet review for Stag’s Head

Built in 1770 but remodelled in 1895 at the height of Victorian opulence, this pub has magnificent stained glass, chandeliers and marble, carved wood and, of course, mounted stags’ heads. It can get crowded but it’s worth it; the food’s pretty good, too.
