Lonely Planet review
For a little bit of old-world luxury, you could stay at this tranquil guesthouse set in a lovely Victorian home surrounded by mature gardens. The whole house is furnished with period charm. Antique furniture, log fires, brass beds and subtle florals give it a pleasingly lived-in atmosphere. Dinner (€45) can be booked in advance and features fruit and veg from the walled garden.
Our independent authors have visited Mornington House and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in North of Mullingar.
