    Eating as it should be

    The Bistro is a decent restaurant that offers somthing for everyone at reasonable prices in an unpretentious environment. Staff are friendly and fast. My favorite dishes are the sizzling chicken or sizzling steak/prawn dish. I like these particular ones as they are a substantial portion size and come with a lots healthy griddled veg. I have a Mauritian friend who stands by their Irish stew and the mixed grill. The carbonara dish is ok but I think they could do with boasting the flavor with some lemon rind and more bacon. I am partial to their burger. It's a big one and I'm getting hungry here thinking about it (even though it only 10.20am). The bangers and mash were a disappointment for me as the sausages are of the low quality variety often found on the Irish breakfast plate. Overall, its generally one of the city's busier restaurants because of its honest food, that doesn't break the bank pricewise.
