The Seahorse pushes the 'gastropub' concept hard, but why not? It does have food better than most of the town's chippers and judging by the crowds, the masses are onboard. Breakfasts and sandwiches by day morph into steaks and seafood at night. The bar is one of Tramore's calmer spots for a pint.

In a port-wine-coloured building with tribal art and abstract canvases on the walls, the Vee's French-accent is most apparent at night when the menu really is bistro-derived. By day, expect competent cafe food: fry-ups in the am, lunch specials in the pm.
