Lonely Planet review
Built in the 1860s as a summer house for the Malcolmson family, whose coat of arms can still be seen on the fireplaces, the Haven is now run by the Kelly family and remains an elegant retreat with wood-panelled bathrooms and, in two rooms, four-poster beds. Local produce underpins dishes in the casual restaurant (mains €12 to €20) and the low-lit crimson-toned bar.
Our independent authors have visited Haven Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotel, restaurants in Dunmore East.
