Hello, we arrive from Toronto into Dublin (1st. visit) at 10:05 am on a Thursday . A train leaves for Galway from Heuston station at 11:25 am. Is it possible to make it there using the 747 bus? If we didn't make it in time , would the tickets be honored for the 13:25 train to Galway? After a night or 2 in Galway we would rent a car , drive around for 4 days ( any help, routes etc. for 1 st timers is appreciated) before returning the to Galway and the train back or do a 1 way car rental to…
Hello all! I am studying in Derry for three months and I am not sure what to do about my cell phone. If anyone has advice on using your cell abroad for an extended amount of time, I would be very grateful! Thank you in advance!
I am visiting Ireland for the first time in October, flying in and out of Dublin. We arrive first thing Saturday morning and are planing to spend Saturday and Sunday night in Dublin, plus the following Saturday night as we fly out Sunday morning. I would like to visit different cities Monday-Saturday (can arrive back in Dublin anytime Saturday). We are not planning on having a car, will be relying solely on rail and bus. Any suggestions would be wonderful! Originally planed on visiting Galway…
First time visitor, flying in and out of Dublin, but don't want to spend a lot of time in the city. Looking for suggestions on how to get the most out of the balance of the time in Ireland. I will have a car, but am open to suggestions including rail or bus. Thank you!
I wonder if anyone can help. I am looking for a lovely place to stay with good access to Dublin. It is a family holiday. We will also be doing a bit of sightseeing after Dublin and wondered if there were any must see places to travel on to. Thank you very much. xx
I am looking at planning a 5 day itenerary for myself and my parents. The plan is to rent a car when we are not in Dublin.
My original itenerary was:
Day 1: Land in Dublin 9 AM (from Manchester) and leave immediately to drive to Wicklow to hike, spend the night in Kilkenny
Day 2: Kilkenny
Day 3: Leave Kilkenny and pass through Waterford to see the Crystal factory, on the way to Cork. Sleep in Cork
Day 4:Leave Cork and drive to Dublin, spend the night in Dublin
Day 6: Fly in the morning
We are planning a roadtrip around Ireland at Easter time next year.
I would appreciate some feedback on my suggested itinerary - we are happy to base somewhere for a couple of days and do some day trips to areas of interest, however should we do this, or hop to the next place each day so we are seeing more and covering more area?
Are there better areas to stay in on the public holidays?
Thurs: Arrive in Dublin and stay the night
Good Friday: Kilkenny
Easter Sunday: Cork
Hey! In a couple of weeks I'll be visiting Dublin, Ireland and was wondering if any of you have insight on inexpensive ways of making it to the airport? I've searched a little bit and it seems as though private taxis are the only options popping up. I was hoping to find a shuttle bus that could pick me up close to the city centre and that can get me to the airport on time for my flight. Ideally I would like to arrive at the airport for about 5:45am. THANKS!
I am traveling to Ireland in some days (10).
I already have a trip plan, but I'd like to include in my trip the landing tour to Skellig Michael Island.
I was trying to contact almost all the operator tours, but all of them replied my they are full for the rest of the month. I am now August is a high season. Any additional suggestion?
