Hi guys, will be in Ireland the first week of September. We have a few nights lined up in Dublin and then have 4 nights to explore elsewhere (only the Republic, have already been to NI). Just want to know if this is a busy enough period where we should book accommodation ahead, or can we wing it? We'll have a hire car. Ta :)
We'll be in Ireland in late September and October and hope to do a lot of hiking. We'd like to be able to rent trekking poles in Dublin, if possible, but haven't been able to find anyplace to do this. Does anyone have suggestions? Trying to cut down on luggage for the flight. Also, if anyone has recommendations for hikes, particularly in western Ireland, please let me know. Thanks, Carol
I am planning my trip with 3 of us to go backpacking in Europe and our first stop is Ireland. We plan on being in Europe for a year so I want to be as money conscious as i possibly can. I want to go camping for a good majority and we have free camping sites in the USA but it doesnt seem like they have anything like that in Ireland. Anyone know of any free or low cost camping spots or any other tips and tricks for saving money on places to stay?
I have looked for topics about this question but most are rather old or don't quite answer what I am looking for.
I will be visiting Dublin in September and have a day carved out to take a trip. I have never driven in Ireland (or on the left side of the road for that matter) but was wondering if driving from Dublin to Blarney, with a stop at Rock of Cashel along the way, and then returning to Dublin later in the day is a feasible trip in a single day? Is it a difficult drive?
My daughter and I are planning a trip to Europe with us flying into Ireland on the morning of the 23rd of August into Dublin. Then I was thinking we rent a car and fly out of Shannon on the 28th. Its limited time so I know we can't see a ton. My daughter would like to see some castles and is interested in anything haunted. Really looking for help on how to narrow this down and not make this trip a crazy mad dash from destination to destination. Our total trip is from arriving in Dublin on…
I'll be in Ireland from Sept 3rd to Sept 17th - what would be the recommended itinerary to get a feel of Ireland?
We want to adventure out to see castles, cliff of moher, some mountains, hiking. Abit of everything. We are staying in Dublin for 3-4 nights once we land and we should be renting a car as well to get around after that. Any suggestions are welcomed! Thank you for your help!
