Hi everyone,

I’m planning a honeymoon trip to Ireland next May and want to make sure of a couple things:

  1. I want to make sure that this trip is feasible timewise so that we won’t feel rushed.
  2. I want to have a diverse experience of Ireland. I want to experience the culture and food (fine dining and pub scene), experience a little bit of luxury(spend a few nights in a nice hotel, then stay in less expensive places; I’ve read that B&B’s are an excellent way to experience Ireland), and have…

Hey,
does anyone know how hard it is to get a working holiday visa(WHV) in Ireland? Does Ireland give out many WHV, or are they a country that just take your visa application fee and never give out WHV? Also, how hard is it to find work there?

Hi everyone,

I've done a lot of research lately and trying to find the best itinerary for my friend and I travelling around Ireland for 2 weeks ... I searched through the forum as well to get a better sense of what we should focus on etc. Was wondering if anyone could give feedback!

  • We want to rent a car. I know there is no point in Dublin. Would it be better to rent a car at the airport after Dublin or to take public transport and rent closer towards Glendalough?? My only concern is, do we…

Hello all. I will arrive in Dublin from California early a.m Sep 6. I will spend 2-3 nights in Dublin then rent a car which I will drop off at Dublin Airport Sep 19 for a mid-p.m. flight home. So I will have about ten days on the road.

This will be my first visit and I am sure I will return. I like to not pre-plan more than necessary, not rush to "see it all" and preferably book lodging as I go. More toward the budget side favoring b&b's with local atmosphere. Given that it will still be high…

Hello All!

I am planning a solo trip to Ireland, and unfortunately cannot get a car (the insurance premiums are too high for someone under 25). I'm really interested in Irish music and the beautiful scenery and geology. This is my tentative itinerary, and I'm wondering if it is possible to do sans car, or are there any changes you would suggest. I would love to stay in Dingle, but I hear it is hard to do without a car, so I was thinking staying in Killarney, and then doing a day tour of Dingle…

Hello all. I'm a 38 yo American male planning my dream trip to Ireland in early October. I will be in the country for 10 days, and have planned the first half of it out already, accommodations booked, etc.. I will be starting in Dublin (2 nights), taking the rail down to Cork (1 night), renting a car and spending one day and night in Kinsale, then driving up to Killarney and driving the Ring of Kerry (1 night).

After this, I am stuck on where to go. I KNOW I want to see the Cliffs of Moher, the…

Hi travellers....

I'm taking a group of 16 for a weekend in Cork in late September.
Ideally i'd like to find one large house to rent, or a couple of neighbouring apartments / cabins.
Doesn't need to be city centre I don't want to be miles away!
Do any of you have any good recommendations?
Many Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hello fellow travellers!

My girlfriend and I will go on a 3 day trip to Ireland in August, and we would really like to see part of the Irish west coast!

I heard that some of the nicest places around that area are Galway, Clare, Kerry (ring of Kerry), Cill Airne and I'd like to see the cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Aliwee caves.

Are they all worth a visit? or are around there better places to see? Any suggestion is welcome!
What do you think the best itinerary would…
