Lonely Planet review
Built into a hillside with a corridor carved out of the plant-strewn rockface and jaw-dropping views of the ocean and hills below, this IHO hostel has character in spades. Facilities are rustic, but clean and comfortable. If you're driving, turn left just after the Glenhead Tavern and continue for 1.5km; walkers can hike up a path behind the Folk Village. No credit cards.
Our independent authors have visited Dooey Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Glencolumbcille.
