Introducing Carndonagh
Carndonagh (Cardomhnach), surrounded by hills on three sides, is a busy commercial centre serving the local farming community. It’s not a choice locale in these parts, but convenient for gathering information and provisions.

The helpful, locally run Inishowen tourism office (937 4933; www.visitinishowen.com ; Chapel St; 9.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri Sep-May, 9.30am-7pm Mon-Fri, 11am-4pm Sat Jun & Aug), southwest of the diamond, also sells fishing licences for all of Donegal. There are three banks on the diamond and AIB has an ATM; the post office is in the shopping centre halfway down Bridge St towards the Donagh Cross.
