Lonely Planet review
Follow the mysterious pictorial signs well off the beaten track up a series of steep dirt tracks and you'll eventually find Green Gate, a place you'll either love or hate but will stay with you forever. The traditional thatched cottages here are rustic in the extreme but the views are breathtaking and the host a gregarious eccentric. Phone bookings essential; no credit cards.
Our independent authors have visited Green Gate and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Ardara.
