I will be traveling to Ireland in a couple of weeks. I am planning to travel by bus for much of my trip. I tried to purchase my bus tickets through Bus Eireann a couple of nights ago. The issue in having is that there doesn't seem to be a way to select the departure time, only the day, for each ticket. I emailed the company, but haven't gotten a response. Is this normal? Do I just purchase tickets for the day I want to travel and then arrive early enough to get a spot on the bus I want to take…

Hello! My husband and I would like to book a private tour for the Connemara area. Does anyone have a good recommendation? I contacted Wild Atlantic Way Tours, but they haven't responded to me so I was hoping someone else had a suggestion! Thanks!

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Ireland this July. We know this is not the optimum time of the year due to heavy tourism, but this is when we can go. Of course we are in full romantic idealism mode and would love to have a loose itinerary with only a few solid bookings, but don't want the whole trip to be about finding last minute accommodations. We're planning on starting in Dublin and renting a car. We will want to spend approximately $150 per night. Is this doable or a potential…

I will be travelling to Ireland in less than 15 days. I have done plenty of research and have a relaxed/flexible schedule. I would love to attend a sporting event or a concert/festival of some kind. I will be in Ireland the first two weeks of May before moving on. Any recommendations? Apparently its off season for rugby. I am a female solo traveler.

This is my first time doing a road trip, and I've made my itineraries. However, I wonder if 250 kms or even 300 kms for driving per day is crazy or not according to the road conditions there. Thanks!

In case anyone wants to look into my itineraries:
Dublin - Kilknny - (Waterford) - Midleton (276kms)
Midleton - Cobh - Cork - Kinsale - Bantry - Kenmare thru Baera Peninsula (277kms)
Kenmare - Killarney National Park - Killarney
Killarney - Ring of Kerry - Dingle (245kms)
Dingle - Limerick - Cliffs

Will be going to Ireland in May for a wedding in Ennis, but will have two days to kill in Dublin. I plan on doing Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, and the Guinness Storehouse.

I know the Guinness Factory is a huge deal so I was wondering if it was worth it to book tickets beforehand? Is that even possible?

Thanks!

Hello,
I've been looking everywhere here for RECENT info on using a World MasterCard to decline car rental insurance in Ireland. I don't currently have a World MasterCard and would need to apply for one. Apparently not ALL World MasterCards offer this benefit. So I don't know which card to apply for.

All the info I see on this and other forums is 6 to 8 years old, and everyone recommends Bank of America World MasterCard or Capital One. Neither one of those cards is offered anymore. (I have been…

We are planning to rent a car for 12 days for a family holiday in Ireland. We are trying to determine whether to rent a vehicle using diesel fuel or not. Is diesel fuel widely available in Ireland? Everywhere? Do most places have both fuels? Does diesel fuel represent a savings at the pump or is it more expensive? Help!

I recently spent 3 months in Ireland on the 90 day tourist visa allowed to American citizens. I am now vacationing in the Schengen countries with family. I was wondering if there is a limited number of days I need to be out of Ireland before I can vacation there again. I know for Schengen I can only be here 90 out of 180 days (so 3 months here, 3 months out). Is this the same for Ireland? I can't find any information online and when I asked this specific question to the US Embassy in Dublin they…
