Hi,
My husband and I are thinking about going to Ireland a week in early July or middle of August with our 2 year old kid.
Of course we would like to visit Dublin but it would probably interesting to stay in another place.

How long would you suggest to stay in Dublin?
And where to stay next?
Would it be better in July or August?

Thank you!

Hi all,

What is the best way to spend six hours early on Saturday morning in Dublin?

My flight arrives in Dublin at 5 a.m. (May 13th) and the airbnb check-in is at noon. So there are atleast five hours to do keep myself engaged in Dublin. So what would you do for those few hours (I might be carrying luggage.)?

A sumptuous breakfast, with some high quality tea or espresso can definitely be one of the activities.

Thanks.

Oh so many questions but know the boundless information that comes through here.
We are family of four ( wife & I each 66 yrs ) planning to walk Kerry Way and would like to plan trip from home and we have a hard time doing this because we are spur of moment people but flight schedules will help us stay on track. Flight costs Seattle to Ireland count for much but looks like Shannon will be desirable airport for our arrival and busing should get us to Killarney easy enough. Using the tourist Kerry…

We are looking at 7-8 days in Ireland coming to or from my wife's hometown in Spain in June. She was an Au Pair in Dublin 40 yeas ago so will want to show me things. But then we would go to one or maybe two places. We would prefer public transportation but could rent a car. We like history, culture and natural beauty. What suggestions do folks have?

We, (family of four Alaskans with hiking experience) would appreciate some suggestions for a 3 night, four day walk on the Dingle Peninsula. We would like to include Brandon Peak and other "best of the peninsula" spots. Considerations include getting back to our car at the starting point and accomodations available along the way as we will not have wild camping gear along. Thanks!

Hi,

I am looking for the best deals to travel to Paris -- with one requirement: I need to pay cash
Bus/train or cheap flights, it does not matter. There may be a ferry/train cheap deal ? and if anybody has done that, please let me know ... as usual, with strikes and all --and Ireland being Ireland, one needs to check info a couple of times, I think.
Thanks

Best,

clara z

I have read some of the posts and researched the sites suggested. I would now like to get some opinions on renting a car from Sixt via Car Hire 3000. Has anyone had any experiences with this company or any comments to make please?

Kind regards,
Jesse

Hello! I'm planning my first trip to Ireland for late June. I've seen a lot of people talk about renting a car. Can someone weigh in on how easy or hard it is to drive in Ireland compared to the United States? And, do I need to obtain some sort of international license?

Thanks!
