What are the rules for camping in Ireland? Is it allowed anywhere? Only in certain spaces? If so where? And does it cost? And if so how much?
Just trying to find out if I can travel there on a really low budget :-).
Tips on other really low budget accomodation in Ireland would be welcome too :-).
I need some opinion on where to go.
I will travel to Shannon Ireland for a business trip Nov 16 for 3 days. First time to Ireland, and never been to UK, Europe either...
plan to take 5-7 days off tour the country (Nov 19-26). When return, I prefer to leave Shannon airport back to US, but open to other option. From what I read Mid Nov is winter, day get short (8am-4:30pm), cold, attraction may only open during weekend, rural country charm may not be ideal, and city sightseeing may be…
Looking for some help on options on day one of our Ireland itinerary.
We will be picking up our hire car in Dublin and then went to drive Sally's Gap to Glendalough.
We had originally planned on then driving to Kilkenny and staying there for the night before moving on to Cashel the next day.
Would it be better to stay somewhere closer to Glenadlough so that we are not rushed and don't have more driving afterwards? We can always pass through Kilkenny the next day on our way to Cashel?
We will be visiting Ireland again May 2017. When we were in Dublin 3 years ago, we stayed in an area that I think was called Arbour Hill or "Dublin 8". I'm trying to find a B & B (for 2 couples) in that same area as we could park our rental car for free and public transport was good -- and so was the walking. The problem I'm having is not finding anything with these address references. Should I be searching some other way or ??? Suggestions appreciated.
So me and my friend booked a vacation in ireland dates 14th of march (arriving morning) until 22nd of march (leaving to the airport at about 13:00)
Were both 21, and aside from partying in st patricks weekend were looking to see as much as we can.
We cant drive and so looking for nice ways to travel near dublin.
Any good tour agencies you recommend to book a two, maybe three day trip?
Were thinking about cliffs of moher, giants causeway, connemara but were open minded. (Not…
In the Lonely Planet Ireland Guidebook,Page 32, they mention a Ferry from the Dingle Peninsula at Slea Head to Killarney to tour the Ring of Kerry. It would be an interesting way to see both areas. I can't find any information of a Ferry departing from Dingle. Are there any auto Ferries operating in this area?
I'm surprising my wife with a trip to Ireland in the middle of May, 2017. I've designed a trip to suit our interests, but I was wondering if I'm cramming too many things into 8 days. When I look at guide books, they suggest taking a week for what I have planned in two days. Here's my plan, and I appreciate any and all advice from those who have been to, or live in Ireland.
Day 1 - Dublin
Arrive in Dublin, tour the city (probably hop-on hop-off to maximize time)
Day 2 -…
We'll be in Ireland in November. Our next to the last night will be at the Cliff House Hotel near Waterford. We have a 10:00 am flight out of Dublin. I'm hoping to get a few recommendations:
What should we plan to see on that last day as we drive between Waterford and Dublin? Waterford? Kilkenny? Something Wicklow Mountains National Park?
Where should we stay for our last night? We plan to drop off the car at the airport that evening. Should we head back to Dublin for one night? We will…
My wife and our 2y/o will be going to Ireland this coming October and need some help determining the specific towns we should stay in.
So far we fly in and out of Dublin and we make plans to stay in a castle at Wexford for the last 3 nights of our trip. Working counterclockwise I was hoping to be in a position to stay at 2 or 3 more places max.
I'm still on the fence if Dublin is worth a night or if we should just drive straight west towards Galway region.
We'd love to be in driving…
