does anyone know if there are any means other than taking a taxi to get from IKIA to the city centre (Valiasr Square) in the middle of the night? Are there any buses? Can you go "open doors" on a taxi from the airport?
My friend and I are Canadians wanting to travel to Iran. I've had some conflicting information about being able to travel independently. Apparently Canadians have to be part of a tour group or with a guide the entire trip. Does anybody know anything about this. Have any Canadians traveled to Iran lately.
My friend and I will arrive in Tabriz the 5 th of august and will leave the 10 th in the evening.
Because we have limited time we are looking for a tour agency or a tour guide who can drive us along.
We would like to visit Kandovan, St. Stephanus Church, Babak castle, Ardabil, .....
I found a few recommondations in the LP guide, but for instance, the website adres of Davoud Faraji does not exist anymore.
I also wrote to Hossein Ravaniyar, but he didn't give us much information and we found…
Want to go to Iran and as USA need to do tour. Looked at several companies. Noticed that for Irun2iran , there were several positive Reviews BUT those reviewers only posted that review and never posted ( about anything!) before or after. Coincidence or "creative marketing"?!
I'll be in Kashan for my second time, the first being in 2010. I usually do Couchsurfing or stay at the cheapest places I can find when I need some time for myself.
During my last visit to the city I stayed in a mosaferkaneh called Golchehregan (Golchariyan in LP). It was very basic and no english spoken, but ok for me. I don't know if this place is still open or if there's another similar option. I've also heard about Kamalalmolk Guesthouse, which seems way nicer.
I no longer qualify for Visa Waiver after a trip to Iran and so have an appointment at the US embassy in London. Just wondering if anyone has experience of that process- whether its a formality, or they really grill you about the trip etc?
will it be possible to buy cooking gas (preferably PRIMUS) in Ardabil? We're planning to do hiking in the mountains.
Secondly, I wonder if there's no problem in logging to yahoo, gmail or facebook in Iran.
For all fellow travelers who already been in Iran, please write me a list of three things you liked the most!:) It can be anything that impressed you: city, some specific village, food, traffic, people, or smell of tea, colours in bazars, sillence in the desert, or something else... :)
Thank you! :)
