I'm a solo traveler from Slovenia looking for other travelers that would be interested in sharing an overnight (or even two nights) tour from Kerman to Kaluts in Dasht-e Lut desert. I'll be arriving to Kerman on November 1st and will stay there until 4th (possibly 5th) so if anyone plans to do the same tour at the same time, I'd be glad to share the expenses. :)
Salam and hello everyone. First post on Lonely Planet.
I'm an Australian from Melbourne and would like some tips from the Iranians / travelers. I will be arriving in the beautiful land of Persia in middle of November. I would love to learn about your awesome culture; eat lots of food and have some strong coffee and eat rice with pomegranates! (yum, Persian rice... and dates)..
Also, I heard your country is lovely, where people love to have some tea and socialise during the cold weather.

I am an Australian traveling through Uzbekistan to reach Iran. Does anyone know whether there are any airlines that fly directly from Tashkent or other towns in Uzbekistan to Iran? I would like to go directly to Isfahan if possible.
When i search on the web i can only find long flights involving transfers in other countries. So far the best option i have found is via Dubai using Uzbekistan Airlines.
Is it possible to enter Iran through Isfahan? Thanks in anticipation.
I am aware that there are more threads on that issue, yet I couldn't find an answer to my question.
I will book a hotel for the first night and also bring a confirmation of a health insurance. Yet I am not sure about my return flight. My plan is to leave from Istanbul and I already have this flight booked (Istanbul - Berlin). That, however, means, I will leave Iran via landborder and get to Istanbul overland. Will that be sufficient to receive my VOA?
