I am doing the itinerary in Iran. we would like to combined bus and private taxi. I know that you have to bargain, ... but how much is the cost per km ? I need to know to do the budget of my trip... maybe is not so cheap...
For exemple, from Teheran to Qazvin there are around 150 km... how much I have to pay from the airport to Qazvin by night ?
A reference of the cost, it would be great !!!
Thanks once more for your always good tips!
My girlfriend and i are planning a 3-4 trip to Iran in September when we are in Turkey, we are unmarried and I hear there are restrictions about people sharing a room together if they are not married.
Dont really fancy getting two rooms, we will if we must but its not ideal, any suggestions as to what can be done without being arrested
How do Iranian couples overcome this?
This September me and my husband will be visiting Iran for two weeks. I was in Iran before, in July 2012. That time I took 500 euros with me. This turned out to me more than enough for hotels, transportation, sites, food and souvenirs. We stayed in budget hotels with three people in one room.
I know rates have gone up, and I'm wondering how much money to bring this time. Would 1000 be enough for two? Or should we bring more?
Teahouses are always good memories in Iran, but in Teheran two of them turned out to be tourist traps last year. Be particularly attentive with Khayyam teahouse near bazaar and Ayyaran on Ferdosi square, or avoid entirely.
In Khayyam, although this was not our first trip to Iran it was on our first day and we were not familiar with that year’s currency value, we were also confused when the bill arrived in Farsi only (a particularly unusual practise). It was obviously too high since we…

Hello, we are good and experienced hikers and we are looking for a long trekking in iran ( but not too high because we will be there at the end of october, around 15days walk....but I can't find any clue on internet....thanks for every information!!!
Hi, I am going to Iran in October. My plan was to travel Teheran-Mashad-Herat/Afghanistan-Iran-Iraq Kurdistan-Iran-Armenia-Georgia. This means I need a multiple visa for Iran. The embassy in Norway say I will get a multiple visa (reference code) as a tourist, but the iranian travel agencies tell me it is not possible. I can definitely get a single entry visa (also without the reference code), but then I can not go to Afganistan and back to Iran. Erbil/Iraq is probably doable, if I travel to…
