Hi everyone,
A friend of mine and me (both 25-year-old Portuguese male) are planning on doing a road trip from Algarve, Portugal, all the way to Vietnam. We are planning on crossing the border between Iran and Pakistan by car through the Iranian city of Zahedan in order to get to Quetta, Pakistan, in around the month of June. We are mostly concerned about our safety and overall security throughout the borders.

We just read an old post written by Kristina86 (7 years ago, and thus unsure whether the…

Hi!
I am travelling to Iran soon. I have a septum piercing and I would like to know if it is ok to wear it or it is better to cover it or take it off. Thank you.

Hi, I am Dutch guy (age 41) and well travelled. I am considering to go to Iran in July for a week, or max 1,5 week. I was wondering what you could see in this time frame (probably flying on Teheran), or does it not make sense to go so short only?

all help is welcome,

Thanks,
Frank

Dear LP readers please be advised of danger regarding attempts to follow the hiking route from Jamshidiyeh to Darband described under the Jamshidiyeh park entry on p.54 and also mentioned under the Darakeh and Darband entry on p.53 of current (6th edition first published in Aug 2012) guidebook. There is a military base above Golab Darreh which separates these two destinations (Jamshidiyeh & Darband). Please note the trail is very steep and travels up a spur of the mountain, rather than 'along…

Hi All - How much does it cost nowadays to hire a driver to get from Tehran to Isfahan and visit a few places along the way (i.e. Kashan)? How long would it take normally? I wonder if I can leave from Tehran in the morning, visit a few places on the way, and get to Isfahan in the evening... Thank you in advance!

What's the best option?
1 — 9-DAY TRIP in IRAN (Shiraz—Yazd—Isfahan—Kashan—Tehran) and 2-days in Istanbul
2 — (12 days) : Kerman (and surroundings) — Shiraz —Yazd—Isfahan—Kashan—Abyaneh — Tehran

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to travel with my husband near the Iraq border, but information from our ministry of foreign affairs says some areas might be unsafe. I'd like to know how seriously I should take that information...

Here's where we would like to go:
-Shushtar/Choqa Zanbil/Shush
-Howraman valley/Kermanshah/Bisotun (will look for private driver)

Thanks for your advise! Hope we can go...

Hi all,

We have a flight landing at 6am at Tehran international airport in May, and are considering booking a flight from the domestic airport at 9.45am to Shiraz. What do you rate our chances of making it if WE ALREADY HAVE THE VISA? I had read that if you already have the visa, you can be out of the airport in 30 mins (as opposed to 1-3 hours for VOA). A travel agent we just contacted said that even with the visa, it can take 3 hours! Are they having us on, or is this how it is at the…
