normally it is more interesting to change money in town rather than in the airport. Is it the case for Jakarta also ?
But in case of late arrival and no possibilities in town is it better to make change at the international airport or domestic airport ?
Thanks for your advices.
I am looking for some advise for our upcoming trip to Sulawesi.
A bit of background:
- I did my homework, the LP has been read inside out, and I searched the forum various times ;) Still, I would appreciate some help / ideas on the current plan.
- We only have 20-21 days in Sulawesi, and therefore wanted to limit the trip to the North. I realize that it is possible to cross from South to North or the other way round in 3 weeks, however, sounds like too much time on busses for my…
Does someone here as experience with tiket.com for booking train tickets on Java in advance.
We would like to book all our train tickets in advance, but I read a lot of different things about this site.
Is it trustworthy? Because they seem to be the only site that accept European visa cards.
Thanks for the information.
We are looking for self-contained accommodation in Ubud in June or July 2017.
Must have at least one bedroom/ensuite, living/dining area, kitchen. Private pool would be good, but not essential.
Looking to spend around AUD1500 for the month.
Can anyone suggest any websites or any recommendations of any villas.
Is the budget realistic or "pie in the sky"?
I will arrive at the Kuala Lumpur Indonesian Embassy soon to process KITAS. I already have the TELEX authorization from DirJen Imigrasi, Jakarta. Can anyone review what I need to complete the process at KBRI, KL?
- Process Fee? I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps 150K IDR? will they except either rupiah or ringgit?
- Photos. Size and number?
- Application form. Is there a form I need, and if so, do you know where I can download it from?
- Anything else I need to know?
In late October, I have two free days in Jakarta before heading to Papua. After jetlag recovery, I am hoping to fill my time with a bus tour of Jakarta and perhaps a day trip to Bogor Gardens (are they worth a visit?). Are there any hop on hop off buses in JK? Online search said one started in 2014 but I can't find any links to it. If not, other suggestions for bus tours would be most welcome. I'm a female traveling alone so prefer to be part of a group rather than striking out on my own…
I'm planning on visiting Ijen crater in July with two kids (9& 13). My hope was to come from the Bali ferry, book a night in Pos Paltuding, hike up in the night and the following day go on to Bondowoso. It sounds like all of the lodging in Pos Paltuding is pretty sketchy, and I am concerned about luggage left behind when we go up the crater. Any suggestions, reassurances or recommendations? I am also considering going straight from the ferry to bondowoso, and taking a Jeep to ijen from…
My girlfriend and I were planning to travel the Mahakam river, but due to practical reasons (we would have to travel from Berau to Samarinda just days after Lebaran) we are thinking about doing the Kayan river instead http://www.borneotourgigant.com/8_10Days_Kayan_River_Tours.html
Does anyone have any experience of it and could tell us more? How does it differ from Mahakam?
Also, does anyone have experience of De'gigant Tours Borneo? They're recommended in LP but a quick internet search…
