we are used to travel and we live nearby (Hanoi, 3 hours flight to KL), so no jetlag hassle. We would like to go for beach / gentle exploring holidays end of January (starting around 23.01.) Of course destination should be kids friendly with at basic-medium medical coverage in acceptable distance. Babies will be by then 3 months and 20 months old.
So where would you recommend us to go in January, which weather-wise is not the best time to travel to Indonesia.
Feel also free to recommend a…
Hello, I'm traveling alone, first time in Indonesia and I'm so excited! Trying to have a general idea of how I want to spend my time since Java is so huge and varied!
My main interests are temples and culture, multiday hike with varied scenery, volcanoes, cool geological stuff like multicolor lakes, etc, and I'd like to try snorkeling and have never seen a coral reef. A day or two to relax would be good but unless I'm with friends, I tend not to want to just relax on the beach although I've…
We are an italian couple and we try to arrange a boat tour with Raja Ampat Adventures the 18 Oct. 2016 (or days around) but we need two more person to share the boat costs (min. 4 people). For more information see also http://rajaampatadventures.com/index.php/en/packages/itineraries If you are interested contact me in private.
These people scam you. We booked a trip for what supposed to be 8-9 hours. After 5 the driver said we should hurry up as he would be going back to Ubud. When the 5 of us said we disagreed he said: take a taxi then, we have your money already. We decided to go with him because we didnt know where we were. The ride to Ubud he kept threatening us with calling the police. Awful man, awful company.
I'm traveling to Lombok in October. I was wondering how I can get from Kuta on Lombok to Gili Meno? I would prefer a public transportation as I will be travelling alone.
Also, how do I get back from Gili Meno to Lombok Airport?
If you can also recommend any boat operator it would be great. Doesn't need to be the fastest one - I'm looking for best value-for-money ;)
We'll be in Bali (staying around the Seminyak area) for 3 days in October. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable taxi driver we could hire. We'd need a guy for atleast a day when we wish to visit Ubud and around for a day trip and maybe two days if we wish to visit some other areas up north.
If not a taxi, what else will you guys recommend for travelling within Bali and visiting some of the touristy places?
We're travelling to Gili T and will be there for three days. Not enough days, I know, but we'd still like to do a short snorkelling tour around the islands. The dive shops such as Manta dive and all seem to only cater to proper scuba diving and I haven't found anything trust worthy for snorkelling. I, my wife and our 5 year old daughter are the ones travelling.
Can't find it if anyone already mentioned it. But for Indonesia the most reliable taxi company has an incredible app. At least for the IPhone, but I expect also for android. It's the Blue Bird taxi app. Wish I new that 2 weeks ago. Would have saved me a lot of money! Installed it today, ordered a taxi from Denpasar to Ubud and a few minutes later I was picked up at the hotel! It was half the price I paid a day before from the airport to the hotel in Denpasar.........
I had such a great feeling…
Pak Ali Ketambe, a key figure in the history of Mount Leuser National Park and proprietor of the first independent hostel in Ketambe, passed away last week after a long illness.
We are a 28 year-old couple from France planning to go to Indonesia (or else Laos) in February.
Flight tickets are very cheap (under 500 Euros) to land in Jakarta. We would stay for 3 weeks. So... I read a few topics about going to Indonesia in February / March. I was a bit skeptical about going there during the rainy season, now I tend to be a bit reassured. Before asking any questions, here's a bit of information about us and how we would travel there :
So far our…
