Lonely Planet review for Batak Warung

In Pangururan, a simple warung, across from the police station, looks more like a bus stop than a restaurant, but it does a busy lunch-time trade of Batak dishes, such as sassang (stewed pork) and nila (fish stew).

    filled my soul

    khloroos recommends this,

it might just another subjective feeling for me because its hard to find batak dishes in Jakarta.

this kind of place called "Lapo"
the dishes that served mostly are
-pork dishes: Sa'sang (blood stewed pork), Panggang (Roasted pork), Sop (Soup with pork broth).
-fish dishes: Naniura (raw fish cooked with lime juice -no heating but its cooked-), Arsik (carp stew).
-Vegetable: Singkong tumbuk (cassava leaves with coconut milk), kacang panjang, sayur pait.

    makes me hungry...
but the important issues is about sanitation.
you might want to bring your own wet tissues to wipe
your spoon and forks, though mostly they didnt provide
you with spoon or fork. people eat by hand here.
    kinda rough huh
then use your wet tissue to clean your hand.
