My travels in SE Asia are coming to a close soon, and I am flying home from Denpasar airport in Bali. I'd like some suggestions on what I should see and do, and where I should go. I am thinking to spend my final 2 weeks on Lombok and Bali. I have Ubud on the agenda but that's all I know of so far, and seems like I should devote more time to Bali than Lombok..?
Things I don't like: overly touristy places (like Pai or Hoi An), party scenes (like Koh Phi Phi (that place was the worst!), Vang Vieng…
Please does anyone know of hotels in Legian, Seminyak, Pettitenget or Batubelig that have club lounges/executive clubs?
The only one of which I'm aware is the Padma hotel in Legian.
I want to go to Indonesia with my family (my smallest children is 17)this summer.
Could someone recommend me where to go? Someone told me that Jakarta, Java, Bali, Lombok, Komodo National Park and Gili Islands are really good. But they also told me that all the northern places are also really great (Tana Toraja, Makassar, Banda Islands, etc. ).
Where should we go if I look for an active (hiking, snorkel, visiting places) but relaxed trip?
I'm thinking of going to Bali in early July for approx 2-3 weeks. There will be three of us- myself, my wife and our 4 year old daughter. I'd appreciate any advice on some or all of the following points:
Accommodation- Air BnB or resort? Recommendations?
Diving- The best dive sites and packages. Recommendations for dive companies
Excursions/day trips- What are the must see sites? How accessible are they with kids?
Transport- Local/public transport or rent a vehicle?
I am currently planning my trip to Bali this May and came across 'Kura Kura' bus service.
Can anyone who knows about these buses tell me what they thought please . I am afraid that they might not pass near the places I would like to visit.
Here is my rough plan for the second week of my trip as I am thinking for the first week to stay east.
Thanks for any help
Day 1 : Seminyak
• Go around Seminyak town
Day 2 : Ubud – Temples
1. Tanah Lot temple
2. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple

I'm planning to go to Indonesia in August, and I want to spend around ten days in Java. What are the things that I need to see? I want to go to Bromo and Badung, but I don't know more yet. Maybe you could help? Thanks! :)
Im going to spend a month working on a personal project on my laptop "digital nomad" style. Ive heard that Ubud in Bali is a real hub for this but im not sure if its good for my dates. Ive heard that a lot of Aussies go on holiday during this time, but I dont know if thats likely to affect me in Ubud or not?
Ive also read its a really hot time of year to visit. Im not great at the heat. I was in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia from november and januaury and only just dealt with the temperature. Is…
We are looking to travel to Sumatra for approximately 17 days in June. We were originally planning on staying in the north and covering the Weh islands, Banyak Islands, Ketambe, Danau Toba.
As this is the end of our trip we would like some time to be on indonesdian Islands with the opportunity to dive, and have access to beautiful beaches and wildlife.
We are a non married couple traveling together and we are worried about sharia law in Aceh which has made us consider substituting the…
I'd love to get your advice on which of the following itineraries you'd recommend. I'm doing a yoga teacher training course on Nusa Lembogan for 30 days, and I have 6 days prior to the start and I can't decide between seeing Ubud or going to Gili Air. I know I can my fill of yoga and diving on Nusa Lembogan, so would love to get your advice on which of Ubud or Gili Air to prioritize! I'm interested in the cultural parts of Ubud, but have also read that it is a bit of a tourist trap…
