hi there.
I will be in Flores for 6 days and I am wondering how to make the most of my time there. I'm planning on flying from Denpasar on 29th (it looks like a morning flight is available to LB and also to Ende) and returning to Denpasar on 4th. no flights booked as yet. I'd like to do a boat trip around Rinca, Komodo etc.. for 2 or 3 days (with some diving) and I'd also like to see Kelimutu. I am very sporty, so happy to do activities or treks. they can be pretty basic, I don't need upmarket…

Hi,
Help with putting together an itinerary for a one week trip to the island of Java +/or Bali in October is sorely needed for some physically fit 28 year olds. Will fly out of Jakarta but have not bought flight from Kuala Lumpur to Indonesia yet. Am looking to do some hiking/trekking and spend some time on the beach. Recommendations re hiking guides would be appreciated.

Hi
We have two weeks in Bali at the beginning of October. We are of mature years so probably won't be too adventurous! We would be very grateful for any suggestions for an itinerary as it is our first trip to Bali. Thanks!

Hello,

I'm arriving via Cruise Ship in Probolinggo on Tuesday 9 August for one day and wondering about the availability/options and cost of transport to get around the city attractions. The Bull Racing '€˜Karapan brujul'€™, which is held nearby, sounds interesting . The ships tours are very expensive.

I'd be grateful to receive any information at all about this area. Thanks

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice about public transport in Bali. Is it possible to do this itinerary by bus? Perama or some other way? I travel solo, so taxi's are quite expensive.

Airport or central Denpasar to Ubud
Ubud to Lovina Beach
Lovina Beach to Munduk
Munduk to Candidasa
Candidasa to Denpasar

I would like to avoid the big masses and see something more of local life or rural areas. Do you have some advice, please?

Thank you very much!

Went to this small lake on a motorbike, its about 22km east from Ruteng on the road towards Bajawa. Its easy enough for most tourists with a private car and driver to stop and have a look around. Its quite beautiful and peaceful with almost noone there.

Except the current charge from 'national park' people is 100k per person for foreigners (plus vehicle costs)! The sign displaying prices is only in Indonesian, and when we went, the guy only appeared conveniently after we returned from the lake…

Hi fellow travelers,
I'm going to Bali for a friends wedding in August. I had planned a several weeks long trip, but due to unforeseen circumstances, am now only able to go for a week. I'm trying to figure out how to divide my time between the beach and Ubud. My days are:

Day 1: arrive 11am to Denpasar
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4: wedding activities in Seminyak 5pm to overnight
Day 5
Day 6: wedding 3pm to late
Day 7: wedding activities 1-4pm
Day 8: 7:30am departure from Denpasar

I'll be going solo (except…

So after a long day working in Jakarta, I planned to take a vacation on my day off to Bali.
Most of the sites would suggest Sanur and Kuta but I believe those beaches will be full of people during vacation and I am afraid I wouldn't find the peace I need there.

So I googled and I found some interesting article here: 6 secluded white beaches on Bali

Anyway, I need the real review, comment, or whatsoever instead of just articles from web that sometimes overrated the beach. Is there any travelers…

Hi,
Searched TT for advice on train from Yogja tot Malang, but seems all quite old and time tables happen to change.

We are a family, with two kids (6 & 7) about to take off tomorrow for a trip to Indonesia. We will be travelling from Yogja to Malang and thought about taking the train as it should be more comfy and nice for the kids.

It seems tot take about 7-8 hours, but I think that is the direct train. A while ago it seemed quicker tot take an express to Surabay and then on to Malang. But…
