I am origionally Balinese and live here from baby to senescence, I love my country but I am trying to find the way to exppress my ideas to keep us good in condition. A few things are inspired out from the Balinese condition, in tourism we offered a lots of pragmatic views, from ilegal tourist business providers to lack justice services, I found the charracters og tourist business still SMILE IS MONEY they try to offer you beautiful smile but cheating involve in the smile. The other side…
I'm a Canadian heading to Bali on three-week vacation (first time there) and I can't seem to find a straight answer re: visa requirements. Lonely Planet says I'll need to have $35 USD to pay upon arrival at Denpasar airport, while a search through Thorn Tree and other sites states that fee is waived now. Anyone have any insight or the authoritative link?
Thanks in advance.
Hi all, I am currently planning a trip to Bali/Lombok from the 14th of nov to 6th of dec before carrying on to Taiwan. We are flying in and out of Bali, and whilst we are there would like to see a fair range of sites, (outdoors, beaches, shopping...) but because it seems like it takes time getting between the islands we are thinking of splitting our 3 weeks in between Bali and Lombok instead of trying to go too much further afield. We are 4 travellers (2 couples) in our early 20's, travelling on…
Im looking for a one place to spend a week in between Christmas and New Year, and yes, I know its the rainy season.
It will be my third time back in Indonesia and we are looking for a place where we can relax (in a very nice boutique hotel/guesthouse) and do some sightseeing, have great food and maybe do a short course as well. I really love Indonesia, but hate Bali and vowed never to return there. Is Yogja anything like Bali?
We are considering to base ourselves in Yogja for 3 or…
I will arriving in DPS solo Sept 11. Planning to stay in Kuta for a couple days. Want to visit Gili islands, Lombok (3day trek Mnt Rinjani), Ubud maybe Komodo. What is the best way to travel to these destinations. Will probably stay about 4 days each. Do I need to make reservations for guest houses or will I be able to find accommodations last minute?
We're going to Bali next month for four weeks and have a rough idea about what we're going to do but have only booked travel/accommodation for the first week as we were planning on booking further tours/travel/accommodation once we were in Kuta. Can anyone advise whether this is easily done, or is it best to have booked things in advance? We've travelled through most of S-E-Asia before and has always found it easy and affordable to book as you go. Any advice appreciated.
My partner and I touch down from Australia at 10:40 this Saturday and I want to be at Sanur to catch a boat to Nusa Lembongan at 13:30. This leaves just under three hours to clear international customs and catch a taxi to Sanur to board the boat. Is this possible??
Or will it be better to spend the night in Sanur somewhere...?
can some one kindly translate this, it is full of slang words

Any info much appreciated.
