I am thinking of taking a solo trip to Bali at the end of August, and I thought it would be cool to sail to the eastern islands like Sumba and so on from there but on a kind of liveaboard that can stop off at places or whatever. I have been googling and searching - but seem to find surfing liveaboards (I prefer snorkelling and kayaking). Does anyone know any companies they can recommend or whether it's a common thing?
My wife and I are travelling to Bali and Sulawesi at the beginning of August for 20 days and would like some advice on the following points:
- Safety & reliability of Lion AIr (Denpassar to Makassar)
- How long to spend in Sulawesi? 3 nights in Pantai Bira and 3 nights in Tanah toraja already planned - any other must do's in Sulawesi?
- Getting from Bira to Tanah toraja?
- Is there a particularly time to go for the burial ceremonies in Tanah toraja?
- Would we need to book the…
Hi all, could anyone recommend a cheap, chilled out island or beach I could spend my last few days in Indonesia, with a nice backpacker vibe and some diving/snorkeling?
I am looking for somewhere accessible and easy to get to from either Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur - spent some time in the Gili Islands and loved it.
I will be in Flores for 6 days and I am wondering how to make the most of my time there. I'm planning on flying from Denpasar on 29th (it looks like a morning flight is available to LB and also to Ende) and returning to Denpasar on 4th. no flights booked as yet. I'd like to do a boat trip around Rinca, Komodo etc.. for 2 or 3 days (with some diving) and I'd also like to see Kelimutu. I am very sporty, so happy to do activities or treks. they can be pretty basic, I don't need upmarket…
Help with putting together an itinerary for a one week trip to the island of Java +/or Bali in October is sorely needed for some physically fit 28 year olds. Will fly out of Jakarta but have not bought flight from Kuala Lumpur to Indonesia yet. Am looking to do some hiking/trekking and spend some time on the beach. Recommendations re hiking guides would be appreciated.
We have two weeks in Bali at the beginning of October. We are of mature years so probably won't be too adventurous! We would be very grateful for any suggestions for an itinerary as it is our first trip to Bali. Thanks!
I'm arriving via Cruise Ship in Probolinggo on Tuesday 9 August for one day and wondering about the availability/options and cost of transport to get around the city attractions. The Bull Racing 'Karapan brujul', which is held nearby, sounds interesting . The ships tours are very expensive.
I'd be grateful to receive any information at all about this area. Thanks
I'd like to do some yoga and surf reatreat, something healthy and which will get me fit :D Lombok and Bali might be good places, right?
After looking at (so!) many websites, I found this "Surf, Stretch, and Summit Yoga Retreat- August 2016 Lombok Indonesia"; do you have better advice?
That looks really awesome, they said "only 12 people"; shall I book asap??
Please help me if you have good tips I'll be very greatful :D!
I'm looking for some advice about public transport in Bali. Is it possible to do this itinerary by bus? Perama or some other way? I travel solo, so taxi's are quite expensive.
Airport or central Denpasar to Ubud
Ubud to Lovina Beach
Lovina Beach to Munduk
Munduk to Candidasa
Candidasa to Denpasar
I would like to avoid the big masses and see something more of local life or rural areas. Do you have some advice, please?
Thank you very much!
