I would like to ask: don't you know how easy/complicated is to switch airports in Jakarta, how long does it take from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Halim Perdanakusuma? And how much should it approximately cost?
Thanks a lot for your help!
I will be getting my Open Water Certification in early August in Tulamben before heading to either Nusa Lembongan or Gili Islands. Which one would be more enjoyable for someone just learning to dive? Some of the points I've seen online are:
-manta rays, mola mola!
-difficult to dive and strong currents
I'm wondering whether I would actually be able to see the manta rays or mola mola at Lembongan since they're usually quite deep in the water?
I'm headed to Bali for about 13 days by myself. I land in Denpasar and would like to head up to Amed or Tulamben to do my Open Water Certification before heading to Gili. I have a Canadian class 7 driver's license but I would prefer not to drive. Is it possible, and what's the best way to get from Denpasar/Kuta to Amed then to GIli (and back)? Is there a lot of uncertainty on transportation? Should I book accommodation in Amed and Gili ahead of time?
All the best,
P.S. I was…
My girlfriend and I will visit Indonesia in the beginning of September. We would like to go on a Klotok tour of 3d/2n to see the orang-utans in the Tanjung Puting National Park, but the prices seem rather high. Anybody want to share the boat? 2 more people would be great. We're intending to go from 6th to 8th of September, but nothing is booked yet, so we're flexible.
This year the festival will be held from 8 to 10 August. Should go booking air ticket from Jakarta or Bali to Sentani (Jayapura airport) and especially Sentani to Wamena (major city from which you go to the festival, which can only come flying). It is also essential to consider accommodation, especially if you intend to go independently; you probably will not find room if you do not book it before. A good idea is to contact a local guide. We have a friend there, Onesius Lokobal, and he helped us…
normally it is more interesting to change money in town rather than in the airport. Is it the case for Jakarta also ?
But in case of late arrival and no possibilities in town is it better to make change at the international airport or domestic airport ?
Thanks for your advices.
I am looking for some advise for our upcoming trip to Sulawesi.
A bit of background:
- I did my homework, the LP has been read inside out, and I searched the forum various times ;) Still, I would appreciate some help / ideas on the current plan.
- We only have 20-21 days in Sulawesi, and therefore wanted to limit the trip to the North. I realize that it is possible to cross from South to North or the other way round in 3 weeks, however, sounds like too much time on busses for my…
