Lonely Planet review for Ary's Warung
The name Ary's Warung is something of a misnomer; crisp table linen, architectural food presentation, well-trained waiters and high prices won't be found in any other warung. The spare design opens the ground-floor to the street. Alluring bar.

very nice

When we were in Ubud this year (july 2010) we really enjoyed the food, the ambiance. Because we liked it so much we came back the next day.The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. We really don't understand the negative reviews... seems that they come from one very sick person (yunk food???, toilet smells like urine???). We are now back in Holland... We have nice pics and a video taken of our dining at coffee and silver. If you want to see, you can contact us at kees.ineke@live.nl . The person who's spreading the lies and bad reviews should publish his real name and number on the site....I think he's to scared to do so. Don't believe this sick person!

An explosion of flavours in classy surrounds.

Ary's Warung has come a long way since opening as one of the first simple Indonesian restaurants in Ubud. This is a restaurant that is not just one rung, but about 20 above every other restaurant in tourist-swamped Ubud, particularly those that carry the same sort of price tag. If you're spending a few nights in Ubud and want to eat some of the best food in Bali, then look no further. Ary's sells simple delicacies in classy surrounds with an exquisite list of wine and cocktails to match. The staff are friendly, and the service is astoundingly good. Best of all, you are in Ubud, not in a stifling, busy hotel surrounds of the more populous towns of less cultural significance, such as Seminyak. The only other restaurant of this calibre that might give Ary's a run for its money is Bumbi Bali, in Tanjung Benoa.
