    A bit of history!

    Remember planning to buy a pen torch and then a good book from the Oxford in Darjeeling in 1977. The idea was to read the book by torchlight while my friends watched a film, and then go for dinner at Glenary's. Actually I watched Sabyasachi (based on a Sarat Chandra novel) instead and the dinner took some time because I ordered chopsuey. Nearly missed the jeep back to Kurseong! That was our outing from boarding school (Goethals). Glad to see that the good old bookshop on the Mall is still going strong!
