Hi,
We're traveling to India in July. We like nature, adventure, cultural experiences, etc.
Hoping to get some ideas about:
- Monsoon friendly itinerary
- Where to fly in and out of
- Interesting "must sees"
- Off the beaten path ideas that you've enjoyed
- Ideas of your favorite places to stay
- Resources re: locals you've used as drivers or bed n' breakfast hosts.
Thanks!

Hello, I will be travelling the 5th of August from Varanasi to Agra.
What is the best train between this route?
I would like to see Taj Mahal that same day (hopefully catch a sunrise), and possibly Agra fort before catching a train to Jodhpur. Just not sure what to do with my bags since it will be two nights in a row travelling by night train.

I've been using the website http://indiarailinfo.com for reference, is this website good?
Some of the trains have an average delay of 6h, is that true? I…

Someone asked a while back about shipbreaking. Here's an exerpt from a book talking about it. "Will", a friend of mine, is not a factory worker - he owns a factory...

Hello again.

I have received several quotes for car & driver for the Golden Triangle and have decided to go with Namaste India Tours. Using all of the itineraries that were sent to me and looking up the sites, I custom made the one below to send back to Namaste Tours. Is there anything I am missing or that I should give a miss? Do you think I will be too rushed to see everything? I am not too worried about having a lot of down time, but I just want to make sure it is realistic. Thank you.

Me and my boyfriend are starting our travels in India at the very end of June, we arrive in Mumbai and so far have only booked 2 nights accommodation there.

We have a total on 3 weeks to travel round but fly out of Mumbai again.

I am looking for advice on a good and achievable route during this time, using trains and possibly a couple of internal flights if needed. Obviously it is during Monsoon season too so I would like to be advised the best places to go during this time. I have been…

Hi all,

Please can you help me.

I am on my second tourist visa in India which is about to run out.
I was thinking to go to Dhaka in Bangladesh to get a new one in June. Does anyone know if its simple process for a foreigner to this? I am Irish and want to get it over as quickly as possible so I can get back to India.
Or if any other suggestions of where to go that would help too.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
I'm thinking of travelling to Goa with my 4yr old girl in August 2016........I understand this is monsoon season.

Anyone been there at this time and wondered if it was a good idea to take my little girl.

Thanks,

Has anyone, anywhere in the world been emailed their SMS OTP in the last few months so that they can register to purchase train tickets? I have been waiting three months and I know someone else who has been waiting six weeks. My email has been verified but no OTP. Several phone calls have not changed anything. I'm wondering if they have just stopped emailing passwords.

Hi,

Quick question on applying for a visa. I am British so applying from here in the UK.

I have read that you have to get an appointment in person, is this true or can I just send in an application by post instead? I don't live near London so would be easier to do it by post.

I am flying at the start of July, how long does it take for a visa to be approved (I appreciate that there probably isn't a standard amount of time).

Thanks

Paul
