Lonely Planet review for Lotus Lounge
A great place to chill, this laid-back, half–open-air restaurant, with broken-tile mosaic flooring and wicker chairs, has a terrace that juts out over Mansarowar Ghat. The menu’s a mixed bag, with fresh coffee, salads, pasta, curry and even Tibetan momos (dumplings).

One of the nicest places in Varanasi
pierrep69 recommends this,
After having looked for it a lot, the Lotus Lounge at last opened its arms to me and what a good surprise ! The service is very good (the Nepalese waiters are always smiling and kind, and the food is served relatively fast), there are many special dishes you won't find elsewhere (mushroom-spinach pakora, apple-vanilla pancakes, and even once as dish of the day pumkin ravioli), and the prices, even if a bit high, are in the end OK for such a good experience. The terrace is awesome, and last but not least, they have Wifi.

best location with great food and view on the ghats
leonardastella recommends this,
Lovely location right on the ghats, with good Indian-Continental food. The choice of breakfast is great with muesli, yoghourt and fresh fruitsalad, or nice pancakes, omelets etc...
Pasta’s, momo’s, chicken dishes and nice soups are also recommended. Enjoy this peaceful place on Mansarovar ghat, it’s a wonderful spot to relax on the sunny terrace. It’s between the main ghat and Assi ghat, just follow the signs.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and can give you lots of information about his hometown Varanasi.
We really enjoyed our breakfast and lunch here. A place to come back every day!
Great food, best location !Good for: food, location, kindness of owner
