Tour description provided by Intrepid

Explore holy Varanasi – an atmospheric blend of temples, river ghats and bazaars. Sail on the Ganges at dawn for a magical experience as the sun rises over pilgrims absolving sins in the river. Explore the city and nearby Sarnath with a driver and private car, and wander independently through the bright bustle of the backstreets of Benares. Visiting Shiva's city is a must on any visit to India.

Day 1 Varanasi
The holy city of Varanasi, sitting on the River Ganges for thousands of years, attracts scores of pilgrims and travellers wanting to discover something divine.
Day 2 Varanasi/Sarnath
Sarnath is one of four sites of pilgrimage that Buddha said his followers should visit, and has a number of ancient stupas still standing among its ruins.
Day 3 Varanasi
Varanasi, with its twisting alleys and colourful inhabitants, is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world and a place that has been held sacred since its inception.
