Getting around by air

Commercial flights to Agra’s Kheria Airport began again in late 2012 after a long absence. Air India (www.airindia.com) now flies Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays to Varanasi (2.05pm, from ₹4000) via Khajuraho (from ₹3000), and to Mumbai (12.30pm, from ₹1500) via Gwailor (from ₹3200) on Monday and Wednesday. At time of research there was no return flight via Khajuraho.

To access the airport, part of Indian Air Force territory, your name must be on the list of those with booked flights that day. Tickets must be purchased online or by phone.
