Don't waste your time
grace1986 does not recommend this,
I have no idea why this bookshop was recommended. It took us so long to find it as none of the locals seemed to have heard of it, and when we got there, we found it to be a very small room with less than 50 worn, dog-eared paperbacks, mostly romances by the likes of Nora Roberts, as well as a small selection of trashy crime fiction. Fair enough if you like that sort of thing, but I don't. If you want a decent read, go to the excellent Modern Book Depot at Sadar Bazaar, where I found exactly what I was looking for and more (they also have an excellent range of books about India covering history, politics, religion, sociology, language, literature, etc., as well as some mostly Indian magazines and stationery) or the very good book stall on platform 1 at Agra Cantonment railway station. It also sells 'popular' fiction (crime, romance, and bestsellers like 'Shantaram' which I'm not a huge fan of) but the choice is much better.
