Another Taj Ganj old-timer, this rooftop vegetarian restaurant does a shockingly good thali (Rs90) and comes with a laid-back atmosphere, a view of the Taj (just about) and games like chess and carrom (a table-top game in which fingers are used to flick playing pieces across a powered board and into corner pockets).

    Shankara is a great choice for Vegetarian and with FREE WIFI

    This vegetarian restaurant is located in a central location and is run by extremely helpful owners who not only have helpful hints posted at the end of their menu; but are also quick to help answer any other questions that one might have while staying in Agra. This is just another reason to come here along with the Shankara Special Thali, Palak Paneer, and an wonderfully delicious banana lassi.

    You can sit downstairs to cool off with the air conditioning and enjoy the cuisine or choose to take it up on the roof to people watch and enjoy a view of the Taj Mahal...all this with the convenience of free WiFi.
