The most enjoyable place to stay in Chitrakut is Pitra Smiviti Vishramgrah. Rooms built just in front of Bada Math, a 300-year-old red-stone palace, are very basic, but lead out onto a huge shared balcony overlooking Ram Ghat.
There are comfortable rooms at UP Tourist Bungalow, which also has an OK restaurant (mains Rs25 to Rs50).
