Puducherry’s International Yoga Festival is held annually in early January.
International Centre for Yoga Education & Research (ICYER; 2241561; www.icyer.com; 16A Mettu St, Chinnamudaliarchavady, Kottukuppam)Also known as the Ananda Ashram, established by Swami Gitananda, this renowned centre conducts annual six-month yoga teacher-training courses and 10-day summer courses. Its city office is Yoganjali Natyalayam (25 2nd Cross Iyyana Nagar), near the bus stand.
