Getting there & away
The best way to enter Auroville is from the coast road, at the village of Periyar Mudaliarchavadi, near the turn-off to Repos Beach. Ask around as it’s not well signposted. A return autorickshaw ride is about Rs 150, but a better option is to hire a moped or bicycle. It’s about 12km from Puducherry to the visitors centre.
