Getting there & away

Between 5.30am and 6.30am, several shared jeeps leave for Jorethang (Rs 80, four hours), via Tashiding (Rs 45, 1½ hours) from in front of Yak Restaurant. Given enough demand, jeeps for Gangtok (Rs 160, six hours) and for Geyzing via Pelling (Rs 60, approximately 2½ hours) leave at 6.30am.
