Hello! I will be traveling to Goa from Mumbai as a solo female traveler in late January / early Feburary and had some questions regarding the Madgaon Train Station.

My hope is to take the Mandovi Express from Mumbai to Margao, departing at the Madgaon Train Station. Online it shows the arrival time to the Madgaon Station as being 20:10, but it seems that this train arrives an average of an hour - an hour & 15 min late to Madgaon (at least from what I can see online). As a solo female…

What is the most user friendly site for me to research and understand options for travelling in Southern India using trains. I have looked at "Clear travel", "Yatra", "Make my trip", "Irctc", "Irctc clear trip", and "India rail" and now i am thoroughly confused!
P.S. Is food included in 2ac class travel?

Hi,

I'm going to Nepal and India (and maybe Pakistan) this fall. I'm thinking about getting my visa for India in Nepal, where I'm staying for the first 1,5 months, because otherwise I'll may run out of time in India.

When I'm in Nepal is it also possible for me, I live in the Netherlands, to apply using the eVisa? Or should I use the normal procedure via the Indian consulate in Kathmandu?

Regards,

Constant

I am Canadian and about to apply for an eVISA for India. I will be stating that my first entry to India is by air.

During that time I would like to visit Nepal, crossing by land border, then return to India about 1 week later all in the same 30 day period

Will there be a problem returning to India or will I need another VISA?

Many Tx

  • Cheapest sleeping options, preferably not shared rooms.
  • Cheapest methods of travel and how/when to book them.
  • Any other tips on spending the bare minimum :)

Thank you all!

Hi everyone,
My husband and I will fly to India on the 4th tome for 3 weeks (in October).

We will have 7 days in Darjeeling and Sikkim. Do you think it's enough time to spend in Darjeeling+ see some of Sikkim?
Where would you recommend we should visit in Sikkim?
We are looking for beautiful villages, with peacefull monastries. Big cities are also good but I don't think it's…

Hello,

I am flying to Hong Kong in mid-September with a 15 hour stopover in New Dehli and I am hoping to take the chance to see some of the city. I have two questions.

  1. With such a short time what should I try and see? I expect to have from 11 in the morning to about 9 in the evening free.

  2. From my research I think the best visa will be an e-Tourist visa is that correct? Does anyone know how long it will take to process and the cost for a UK citizen?

Thanks for your help.
