Amritsar, 24 de enero de 2011A las cuatro de la mañana, llamaron puntualmente a la puerta los del servicio de habitaciones para traernos un desayuno preparado especialmente para nosotras. A las seis salía nuestro vuelo a Amritsar, donde íbamos a pasar una noche para volver a Delhi, así que dejamos las maletas en el hotel y preparamos una mochila para esos dos días de viaje.

Amritsar, 25 de enero de 2011Ni el frío polar, ni la tabla de madera sobre la que dormí y ni tan siquiera los cantos del monje de turno durante toda la noche lograron impedir que durmiera del tirón hasta las nueve de la mañana. En el patio interior no quedaba nadie durmiendo y estaba limpio y ordenado como si allí no hubiera pasado nadie la noche.

We had been back in India a mere two days when we made our way to Punjab to witness the Golden Temple. Sikhism’s Holiest site, this temple welcomes all to enjoy its beauty and spirituality. Dave and I don’t normally become excited over temples, but the Golden Temple is incredibly impressive and beautiful. It is not a large temple, but it is impressive.

I seriously don't understand why the Taj Mahal is considered to be the number one attraction in India - at least if we are talking about buildings. That notorious title ought to belong to Amritsar's Golden Temple.
