A free bus service runs from the train station and the bus stand to the Golden Temple every 45 minutes from 4.30am to 9.30pm. Otherwise, from the train station to the Golden Temple a cycle-rickshaw costs Rs 20, an auto­rickshaw Rs 35 and a taxi Rs 50. Hiring an autorickshaw to tour the city costs Rs 50 per hour. To the airport, 15km away, an autorickshaw costs Rs 100 and a taxi ­Rs 200.
