Lonely Planet review for Tea Centre

A great place to try out some of India's premium teas, as well as sample some excellent light meals and snacks, this is a serene, colonial-meets-contemporary place with severe AC.

A fantastic place off the popular restaurant/cafe circuit in Mumbai!

The Resham Bhavan Tea Centre has done a magnificent job at preserving the colonial and old world charm in this rather unexpected location in south Mumbai.

The ambience is soothing and the service above-average. The waiters' uniforms and the little bells at the table are charming as are the framed photographs of old Bombay. Unfortunately, they did away with a gentleman playing a grand piano that added a lot to the place.

Their selection of tea's is exhaustive and one must know their tea's to know what to pick. The food is just average though ambience is really what you come here for.

Give the Tea Centre a shot and you will be pleasantly surprised.
