I arrive at 19.40 at Mumbai on Etihad an am looking at flying to Goa on Go air from terminal 1b at 21.05. Im a bit concerned at the connection time. Assuming everything happens with only average delays what do you reckon.
We're a bunch of college students, about 10 of us, in Mumbai, who're going to Surat for a competition on the weekend of 13-14 August, 2016. Since 15 August, Monday is a national holiday, we want to make it a nice road trip.
We would want to leave 13th early morning. We'll be done by the competition on 14th evening. Then 15th morning we leave Surat, and stop by some beaches midway to Mumbai.
The Problem If we book a tempo traveller, as we want to, we've nothing to do with it on 13th, after we…
After trekking in Leh I have 2 weeks from 10/11 Sept to get to Delhi on 24th Sept.
Would to do Leh > Manali > Dharamsala/McLeod Ganj > Rishikesh. BUT now sure that's going to be feasible - there'll be a lot of time traveling and will the roads even be open or closed due to snow/ice?
It looks like there is a 2 day bus from Leh to Manali. Is there a better/quicker way to do this?
Would appreciate people's thoughts and any suggestions on places I could/should/must do instead while I'm up there…
hi guys, i will be arriving in delhi on the 4th of august, i got few questions regarding guesthouse and AMS:
any good and cheap backpacker hostel/guesthouse in ladakh? (ive read lonely planet's india book but i think some of the guesthouse are not updated)
i've read also about altitude sickness over the internet, and some of them are contradicting in their articles. is it better to drive by bus from delhi to leh? or do it by plane? and when arrive in leh, should i rest for 1…
My friends and I are flying in from different parts of the world and meeting up in India in September. I arrive on the 22nd (super early am) and they arrive on the 24th, so I'm thinking of flying to/from Aurangabad and meeting them back in Mumbai on the 25th. We're also thinking of going to Goa, so I could potentially meet them there as an alternative plan.
I've seen online that 2-3 days is the minimum for doing the Ellora and Ajanta caves, so I'm a bit pressed for time.... however, the…
I am planning to do 6wks around sth India with my sister. She is used to 5 star accommodation and the only asian countries visited was Stopover in Maylasia for a few days 25yrs ago and a 5 star Fijian holiday 20yrs ago .I have travelled, quite a bit i e SE Asia, china, tibet, Nepal and then overland with a driver and car into Nth India. I had had time to de- sensitize, so when I reached Delhi it wasn't such a culture shock. And the last time I was in Asia was 3 yrs ago.
WE are doing the…
My husband and I will be in Munnar over 3-4 days in December and are interested in day trekking around the hill stations and tea plantations in the Western Ghats. Is it possible to hike Meesapulimala on our own or do you have to go with outfitters or with forest rangers (I read you can book through the forest dept but is that required)? Are the treks well marked, mapped out, etc.?
Any advice would be appreciated! We're game for longer hikes (I read Meeshapulimalai can take 8 hrs) or…
Hi all, need a bit of advice. I have a flight booked on Saturday 30th July to Delhi with a return flight 10 days later. I was due to be meeting up with a friend of mine who has been in Delhi for the last 6 months and we were due to be doing a trip round Rajasthan, to Agra, Jaipur, Jodhipur, Jaisalmer and back to Delhi.
Unfortunately she has just cancelled last minute as wants to spend the time with someone else. My flights are non refundable so I'll lose all the money if I don't go so I need to…
my wife just broke a little bone in her shoulder and cannot carry a backpack for a month. We are travelling to Ladakh beginning of August with our 18 years old daughter and our 21 years old son.
This is the question:
Is it possible to hike the Zanskar path from Padum (more likely Pigmo) to Phanji la (just before Lamayuru) without caryçing too much? Is it possible to just carry the tenst, mats and sleeping bags and to find food along the way? Is it even possible to find places to sleep…
