Even the cheap, non-AC rooms are huge and well furnished in this excellent-value hotel, while the restaurant (mains Rs. 50 to Rs. 130), open 7am to 10.30pm, is the best in town. Try the stuffed capsicum. It is situated opposite Sanjay Market.
Hotel Chetak
Handy for late-night buses. Tidy rooms are smaller than Rainbow’s but clean and with sit-down flush toilets. The low-lit restaurant-bar (mains Rs. 40 to Rs. 100), open 10am to 10.30pm, is a decent spot for a beer (Rs. 100).
Hotel Radhika
A centrally located one-stop point for all your needs – a bank opposite, an ice-cream parlour below, a thali restaurant above and two bars next door. What more could you need? Rooms vary from basic budget jobs to decent AC midrangers.

This is a tranquil retreat. Rooms are well looked after and the manager is helpful.
Chitrakote Log Huts
Chitrakote Log Huts, with basic huts as well as modern cabins (some with fantastic views of the falls), is a peaceful place to stay. A new restaurant-bar was close to completion at the time of research.
