This will be my second trip to India. Unfortunately, this time I only have three weeks. I've covered most of Rajasthan and want to see something new. This time I'm heading to Mumbai and then...damn, I'm just not sure. South?

My interests are mostly geared towards photography. I am NOT a nature photographer, so don't have a great deal of interest in that. I'm sure the parks are incredible and people love to tell me how I should photograph nature...but I have absolutely no interest in nature…

I've just arrived in Delhi from Leh, I will fly on to London tomorrow.

I've been here twice before and have seen all the main tourist sites. What I would really like to on this short stopover is to find a good place where I can catch the scene where commuters crowd on to the side and roof of local trains as shown in some railway documentaries. I would like to get lots of pictures of this!

Can anyone who knows Delhi suggest some good local stations where I can see this? I didn't see this at the…

Hiya,
I stay in Gurgaon (suburb of Delhi) and me and another male friend of mine are interested in driving down to Leh. We plan to go via Pathankot, Srinagar, Kargil route and come back via the Sarchu, Manali route. Both of us work with IBM so we aren't going to have a lot of time at hand and our dates are going to be a bit fixed in terms of leaving from Delhi/ GGN and coming back here but we are going to be fairly flexible while on the road. We have backpacked a lot in the past but it's been…

Anyone do this trek recently? I'm thinking about including it in my trip to the area this early November.

Given that I need to hire a guide to enter the national park and I need to keep a budget in line, are the views from Phalut a must? Sandakphu looks gorgeous, but it's hard to find photos of the views specifically from Phalut, which people seem to talk up more.

Looks like I can do the trek in 3 days if I hike down after Sandakphu, rather than 5 with Phalut. I'm just curious if I'm missing…

Hi all,

there are four of us, two couples, looking for a travel agent in New Delhi to assist us with a four week tour of India next February. We have a good idea of where we want to go but would prefer to have a local company book train & plane tickets, hotels etc, we will also need a car& driver for about 10 days. If anyone can recommend a local company they have used it would be appreciated.

Hi there,

I'm an experienced solo female traveler with 7 weeks from Nov 1 to Dec 23 this year looking to do basically Delhi and golden triangle, then Varanasi and kalkuta in one month and then fly (good move?) to Kerala and do the boat trips and anything else worthy in southern India before making my way back up to Mumbai via Goa to fly home.

Is this time frame ok? Will I be ok with $2000 for these 7 weeks not including international airfare? What should I add to my southern route itinerary?
