    The place to start

    prabirkc recommends this,

    Standard place to get novels, English translations of Bengali books, academic books, paperbacks, coffee table books. Also has a CD section and nice postcards. Good set of maps too. There is a separate store for Children's books next door now. There are weekend Meet the Writer and other activities. All non resident Kolkatans dream of releasing their first book at Oxford Kolkata. And yes, they have lots of dictionaries. There is a good English to Bengali one recently. They have a membership scheme and email members and give discounts too
