For good quality souvenirs at decent fixed prices, head to the state-government emporia. A large number are gathered at Dakshinapan Shopping Centre which, along with Dolly's Tea Shop, just about justifies the long trek to this soul-crushing monstrosity of 1970s architecture. The fabrics are particularly good value and the Tripura Emporium has great deals on bamboo- and cane-ware.
