I want to do a 2-night stay in the Dhikala Forest Lodge. Does the park itself run safaris or do I need to book the safaris through a tour company? I am a solo traveller, will there be an opportunity to join a group? Apparently I can't book accommodation any earlier than 45 days in advance, but everyone recommends to book trains 120 days in advance. Any suggestions?
Ok, so planning a trip around Easter 2017; would need a local number. Will be travelling Mumbai, Surat and Goa :) :) Where can I buy a SIM card? Previously was dependent upon wifi connections to stay in touch but this time would need a local temporary number. Thank you muchx
I am going visit India soon. Jodhpur looks very nice to be my base camp and I'm hoping to look around the inside & outside of the city by bike.
Does anyone know if there is a shop where I can rent a bike for several days?
I do not need a touring sort of bike, just a bike in decent quality is okay.
Hello! I would like to do Rishikesh, Varanasi, Bundi and Pushkar in three weeks. I've never been to India before and am wondering if this is realistic? Can you suggest a good itinerary to hit up these four places in three weeks? I have no concept of what it's like to travel over there. I will be traveling as a solo female. I've had some people advise me against overnight sleeper trains. Not sure if this is really a concern.
Now I am making itinerary for traveling India. I hope to see Le Corbusier's archtectures. So,I will visit Chandigarh on the way from Amritsar to Delhi. But the day is Saturday. Would someone let me know if I will be able to visit capitol complex building on Saturday as well as weekdays.
My father and I are considering a visit to Uttarakand next year. I would like to make a loop through the following places with a car and driver over a period of 10-14 days: Almora-Kausani-Baijnath-Bageshwar-Munsyari-Pithoragarh (and other smaller surrounding villages).
We usually travel in June and July, however this is far from ideal for this region. It would be a shame to completely miss out on the mountain views due to the monsoon clouds. Thinking about April, May, June and July, how late…
I had my passport and wallet stolen in Ho Chi Mihn City in Vietnam but now thankfully have an ETD - emergency British Passport and am in HCMC getting all the visas I need to leave and continue my onward travels.
My return flight to the UK leaves from Bangkok but we have a one and a half hour stop over in Delhi to change planes. The British Gov website says that I need to get a visa for this airside transit but it also says I need TWO ETD's (Emergency Passports). One to get into Delhi…
