Bus
There are local buses between Kovalam and Trivandrum every 20 minutes between 5.30am and 9.30pm (Rs 8, 30 minutes); catch them from the entrance to Leela resort. Buses to Ernakulum leave at 6am, 6.30am and 2.30pm (Rs 125, 5½ hours), stopping at Kallambalam (for Varkala, Rs 38, 1½ hours), Kollam (Rs 47, 2½ hours) and Alleppey (Rs 92, four hours).
