There are frequent daily buses to Mysore (Rs 136, eight hours) and a few to Mangalore (Rs 76, four hours). Most departures to Calicut (Rs 52, 2½ hours) and Ernakulam (Rs 170, eight hours) leave in the afternoon and evening. There’s one bus daily to Ooty (via Wayanad, Rs 170, nine hours). Frequent private buses to Mananthavadi (for Wayanad, Rs 48, 2½ hours) leave from the private bus stand, located between the KSRTC stand and the train station.

There are several daily trains to Mangalore (2nd class/3AC/2AC Rs 44/221/316, three hours), Calicut (Rs 34/188/266, two hours) and Ernakulam (Rs 75/361/518, seven hours).
