Getting there & around

Frequent local trains stop at Kotikulum, in the village of Palakunnu 3km from Bekal. Kanhangad, 13km south, is the major stop. There are many buses to/from Kasaragod (Rs 10, 20 minutes), the nearest big town, and an autorickshaw at Bekal Junction can take you to/from Palakunnu and Udma (Rs 20 to 30).
