Bus

There are frequent services that operate along the Trivandrum–Kollam–Alleppey–Ernakulam route, with buses to Trivandrum (Rs 90, 3½ hours, every 20 minutes) also stopping at Kollam and Kochi (Rs 36, 1½ hours). Buses to Kottayam (Rs 28, 1¼ hours, every 30 minutes) are considerably faster than the ferry.

Train

There are frequent trains to Ernakulam (2nd class/AC chair Rs 28/142, 1½ hours) and Trivandrum (Rs 47/180, three hours).

Boat
